Mercurey – Les Marcoeurs

Roundness

Tasting note :

Mercurey’s Chardonnay is as rare as it is round and voluptuous. Planted in very limestone dominant clay soil, rich in iron,
Les Marcoeur gives notes of apricot, pear and acacia flowers.

Élaboration :

Harvest and grape selection done by hand and transported in small boxes to the cellar.
The ‘must’ is racked after settling for 12 to 24 hours. The fermentation is temperature controlled.
Fermentation and ageing is done in Burgundian oak barrels. The wine is filtered before bottling.

Food and wines pairing :

This white Mercurey would go perfectly with free range chicken in a creamy white wine sauce and morille mushrooms.
